November 22, 2011 (22:30) [ Indexed from Yahoo! Eurosport ]
Jimmy White got his Berlin Masters campaign up-and-running with a first qualifying round victory over Matthew Couch in Sheffield, while Mike Dunn fired a 147. White came from 2-1 down to beat Couch 5-3 with a break of 120 the highlight and he will next face Alfie Burden. If he wins that match and then one other, he will make it into the main stages in Berlin.Steve Davis's hopes of qualifying remain alive too as he enjoyed a 5-3 success over Joe Meara.Dunn provided the most exciting moment of the day though when he fired a maximum break in his ongoing match with Kurt Maflin. Jack Lisowski who qualified for the main event last year will not be back in Berlin this year though as he was upset 5-1 by Sam Craigie who produced fine breaks of 86, 103 and 84 in the victory.ResultsDavid Grace 5-4 Mark Joyce Sam Craigie 5-1 Jack Lisowski Stuart Carrington 5-4 Joe JogiaJimmy White 5-3 Matthew Couch Jimmy Robertson w/o Bjorn HaneveerAdrian Gunnell 5 - 1 Sam Baird Alfie Burden 5-2 Scott Mackenzie Yu Delu 5-4 Barry Pinches Robert Milkins 5-0 Tian Pengfei Steve Davis 5-3 Joe Meara Ben Woollaston 5-1 Rod LawlerJamie Jones IN PROGRESS Andrew Norman Tony Drago IN PROGRESS Adam Wicheard Mike Dunn IN PROGRESSKurt Maflin Jamie Burnett IN PROGRESS Dechawat Poomjaeng Peter Lines IN PROGRESS Simon Bedford More...
